The UIL has announced their realignment for the next two years.
Class 5A Schools (Midland High, Midland Lee, Odessa High, Permian) will now be apart of District 2-5A which will include Amarillo, Amarillo Tascosa, Lubbock, Lubbock Coronado, Lubbock Monterey and San Angelo Central.
Other big news involving Friday's realignment include:
Abilene Cooper dropping to Class 4A. Their district will include Big Spring, Hereford, Plainview, San Angelo Lake View and Wolfforth Frenship.
Abilene High will now be apart of the New District 3-5A which will include six Dallas-Fort Worth schools: Burleson, Fort Worth Paschal, Halthom City, Richland (North Richland Hills), North Crowley and Weatherford.
In Class 3-3A, Greenwood will now tangle with Andrews, Brownfield, Lamesa, Monahans, and Seminole.
In Class 2A, Stanton is dropping from Class 2A to 1A.
