Hobbs Man Found Guilty of Gunning Down Two Men

LEA COUNTY - Guilty. That's the verdict of a Hobbs man accused of gunning down two men during a drug deal that went bad.

A Lea County jury returned a guilty verdict against 29 year-old Robert Guerin Friday morning for the March 2006 shooting deaths of Joshua Hunter and Carl Morley.

According to prosecutors, the two men were killed at a Hobbs Elementary School during that drug deal.

Guerin was also found guilty of conspiracy and attempted murder.

We're told Guerin should be sentenced within the next two months.
