ODESSA - The man accused of knocking off a bank in Odessa two months ago is headed to prison after confessing to the crime.

Jerry Johnny Gasca plead guilty to robbing the Southwest Bank on Alleghaney and eighth street back in Odessa.

Federal prosecutors say Gasca walked into the bank, handed the teller a note, which said "this is a robbery, give me your twenties, fifties, and hundreds."

We're told he never showed a weapon, but the teller gave him around 16-thousand dollars in cash.

Police caught up to him later that same night.

Gasca faces up to 20 years in prison for the crime.

He'll be sentenced at a later date.
