A Seminole man is behind bars facing several charges, including arson.

21-year-old Cody Allan Parker was arrested Saturday afternoon after firefighters were called to a house fire on County Road 202-M.

When firefighters reached the house, it was filled with flames.

The Gaines County Sheriff's Office tells NewsWest Nine, they caught up to Allan walking near the house with singed hair and soot on his face.

Authorities say Parker told them he was inside the house, and started the fire in the fire place.

They say they found several items from inside the house on Parker when they searched him.

Parker remains in jail facing arson, burglary, and drug charges.

His bond is set at 160 thousand dollars.
