Seminole man behind bars after armed robbery in Hobbs, New Mexico

A Seminole man is behind bars charged with an armed robbery in Hobbs, New Mexico.

He's accused of pulling a knife and punching a fast food manager all to knock off a little cash.

Police say 19-year-old, Manuel Alvarez walked up to the manager of Pizza Hut on north Turner, as she was driving up to the store.

That's when police say he waived a knife and told her to hand over all of the money.

She honked the horn and police say Alvarez yanked her out of the car and punched her in the face, before taking off running.

Officers later caught up with Alvarez a few blocks away, he tried to run again, but wound up behind bars.

He faces armed robbery and evading charges.

The store manager was not badly injured.

A bond is set at 51-thousand dollars.
