The Odessa Parks and Recreation Department wants you to dust off the ole' fishing pole.

On Thursday, the Parks and Recreation Department stocked the Comanche Pond with a plentiful amount of rainbow trout.

If you do plan to take advantage of the fishing opportunity, you must have a Texas Fishing License.

Comanche pond is located just off I-20.

Over in Midland, the ponds at CJ Kelly Park, and the one at Beal Park were stocked with trout.

The city wants everyone to get out and fish, but is asking the public to wait a couple of days before they fish at the pond.

This will allow the fish to get acclimated to the ponds before the fishing begins.

They will stock the ponds again on January 30th.
