A second blow for Texas Tech University.

Another of its facilities has been put on probation, this time, a local one.

The Health Sciences Center in Odessa is on probation; specifically it's OB-G-Y-N program.

The Accredidation Council for Graduate Medical Education cites several reasons.

One resident may not have seen enough cases, and the Committee also wanted to see more research done by faculty.

The center is working to fix the problems.

They hope to meet the Committee's standards by their next review in October of 2009.

In December, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools put the University on probation, saying it's curriculum failed to meet College-level competency.
