Big Spring School Board to meet and evaluate Michael Downes performance

Allegations of misconduct in Superintendent Michael Downes past, now the Big Spring School Board will weigh in.

The board will meet Thursday to evaulate Downes performance, and review the allegations of misconduct heaved at Downes.

The State's Board for Educator Certification is reviewing Downes teaching certificate after allegations of abuse surfaced a few months ago.

Meantime, Downes says he has not seen the complaint, and contends the allegations are meritless.

The meeting starts at 5:15 Thursday evening in the Big Spring School Board room.
