One business in Odessa is picking up the pieces after firefighters spent hours trying to put out a massive blaze.
The fire destroyed Heap Equipment on First street, but the late night work was on to make sure the fire didn't spread.
Crews say an Odessa Police Officer saw the flames tearing through the warehouse on 1st and Texas, and called firefighters.
When fire crews showed up, the blaze was so big, they were forced to work into the early morning to keep it under control.
Firefighters say the metal frame and flammable materials inside fueled the massive blaze.
Some witnesses say the smoke could be seen for miles.
Crews cut off power to the area, and police told Union Pacific to stop train traffic until they could manage the fire.
"It's just waiting to get it knocked down before the fire investigators take to go in and start an inspection. There is a concern, because of the wind, and this is very heavy smoke, I don't know about ya'll, but when I turned onto 42nd Street at Grandview, I could see and smell the smoke," Andrea Goodson with the City of Odessa, said.
Fire inspectors are still investigating what caused the late night blaze.
Crews say the fire was out and everything was cleaned up by the time they left Saturday morning around 11.
