A search for a suspected drug dealer turns up with two other people sitting behind bars.

That's after a chase that started in Hobbs and ended in Gaines County.

21-year-old John Garrett and 20 year old Sarah Blakeslee are behind bars in Gaines County.

The two drove off, almost running over a Hobbs Police Officer in the process.

They gave chase and were finally stopped in Seminole after DPS Troopers and Sheriff's took out the tires with spike strips.

They are now in jail in Gaines County for possession of meth.

Garrett will face additional charges in New Mexico, including aggravated assault on a police officer.

Before this bust, police were searching for Richard Leyva.

The suspected drug dealer is still on the run.

If you have any information on him, call the Hobbs Police Department at 505-397-9265
