A Midland man sits in jail after police say he shot another man Monday night on Front street in broad daylight.
19 year old Arthur Jeffery Martinez turned himself to police Monday night.
Midland police say Martinez confronted 28 year old Robert Barrera in the parking lot of the Kent-Kwik on east Front Street.
And when an argument ensued, Martinez allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Barrera in the right leg.
Martinez now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say the argument was an ongoing domestic disturbance between the two men.
