A Pecos mans threatens to jump off an overpass on Interstate 20 in Monahans keeping law enforcement at bay for close to three hours.
Ward County Sheriff Mike Strickland tells NewsWest Nine the man is now on his way to Big Spring for a psychiatric evaluation.
Strickland says 35 year-old Leo Ornelas told them he wanted to committ suicide, because he was having family problems.
He also told them it had to do with a famility situation that happened 19 years ago.
Strickland says Ornelas gave them three different names, and kept threatening troopers and deputies he was going to jump.
They were finally able to arrest him after negoitating with him for about three hours.
