Christmas tree, Cardboard Recycling Locations Announced

The City of Midland, Butts Recycling, and Keep Midland Beautiful will again offer collection sites for all the cardboard boxed residents will acquire during the holidays.  Those sites are on - Midland Drive and Loop 250, Midkiff and Wadley, Rankin Highway and I-20, Big Spring and Scharbauer Draw, and Andrews Hwy and Cuthbert.  Remember, cardboard can be taken to Butts Recycling at 26 West Industrial Loop anytime of the year.  NO BOWS, RIBBON, or WRAPPING PAPER.  Please empty boxes of packaging before recycling.  Save and reuse packing peanuts, etc. or donate them to a local mailing or shipping store.  And remember to flatten all cardboard boxes.  This allows room for more boxes in the recycling container and they are easier for you to handle.  Keeping holiday cardboard out of your alley container gives you more room for real trash - and saves space in our landfill.  Christmas tree recycling is Dec. 21st through Jan. 7th at Hogan Park, Field #7, behind the Armory on Lamesa Road and the Yard Waste Disposal Site off Airpark behind the Claydesta Post Office.  Please recycle all you can this Christmas!

Keep Midland Beautiful educates and engages Midlanders in litter prevention, waste management, and beautification.  Find us at www.keepmidlandbeautiful.org
