State Organization awards several Permian Basin cities grant money

A state organization awards several Permian Basin towns more than 2.3 million dollars in grant money.

The Office of Rural Community Affairs recognized a total of 28 recipients with grant money for their dedication to their rural community on Wednesday.

ORCA is a state agency that ensures a continuing focus on rural issues affecting rural Texas and is governed by a nine member executive committee.

The largest grants of 350 thousand dollars went to the city of Balmorhea, city of Pecos, Dawson County and the City of Seagraves.
