Suspect wanted in the murder of Gabriel Rodriguez

He's believed to be armed and dangerous.

Odessa authorities are asking for your help in tracking him down.

On Tuesday, Odessa Police confirmed they're looking for a man wanted for the November ninth murder of Gabriel Rodriguez.

He's identified as 31 year old Geechie Devain Templeton.

He's a black man, and is six feet-one inch tall, weighing 190 pounds.

Police say he has a scar on his left eyebrow and a one inch scar on his calf.

He also has a tattoo on his back with the name Templeton.

Police issued an arrest warrant for him Monday night in connection with the shooting death of Rodriguez.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and was found slumped over in his truck in an alley on 31st and Pleasant.

Police think Templeton could be in the Permian Basin, or in the Hobbs area.

On December 3, 2007, a warrant was obtained from Municipal Court Judge Carol Gregg charging Geechie Devain Templeton, for the murder of Gabriel Rodriguez who was found deceased in his truck on 11/09/07 which was parked in the 900 block of West 31st Street.  The autopsy results indicate that Rodriguez died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Templeton frequents between Odessa and Hobbs, New Mexico and is known to have associates in several additional cities in Eastern New Mexico.
