Because of this Odessa police have a few tips to keep you and your belongings safe.

While shopping limit the number of credit cards to the one you will be using.

Dont leave your purse, wallet, or credit cards unattended, and if they do get stolen contact your bank it right away.

Watch out for scam artists, it's also a busy time of year for them as well.

When shopping make sure to park in a well lite area.

While you are shopping make sure to lock your garage, and doors to your home and car, and don't leave presents visible in your vehicle.
