After originally agreeing to a plea deal that would have sent him to prison for 25 years for sexual assault, a Crane man has decided to take his chances with a jury.
22-year-old Kenneth Dwayne Hartley is accused of raping a Midland coffee shop employee twice, back in September of 2006.
The judge allowed Hartley to take back his admission of guilt, and will now go to trial on Januray 22nd.
If convicted, he could face consecutive life sentences.
Hartley remains in the Midland County Detention Center on a 100-thousand dollar bond.
