More than two thousand pounds of pot off the streets, and the people authorities say were trying to smuggling the dope, now sit behind bars.
The marijuana was nabbed in two separate busts at the Marfa Sector Checkpoint last weekend.
The first one came last Saturday when agents became suspicious when a truck driver got nervous while trying to cross the border.
When agents searched the truck they uncovered almost 16-hundred pounds of marijuana.
Then on Sunday, agents were alerted to a man and woman from Abilene, allegedly hauling the pot in a pick-up truck.
Authorities say they found almost 500 pounds of pot in that truck.
