High-school mascot fired after posting homemade video featuring costume

An Illinois teen won't be putting his high school mascot costume on again.

Hunter Cox was replaced as the Streator High School Bulldog after he posted an online video that he made using the suit.

In the video "Mr. Bulldog" scares a girl swimming in her backyard pool, is beaten up by a gang of young children, and finally run over by a car.

Cox said the video was simply something he did for fun, and he didn't expect the backlash.

School officials said they didn't feel the video portrayed the high school in a positive light, and added that it was an improper use of school property.
