Watch out for Deer Crossings on Texas Highways

If your headed out on the highway this weekend don't ignore deer crossing sings, the risk of hitting a deer can be deadly.

Each year, there are more than a million deer collisions.

That account for thousands of injuries and hundreds of deaths.

TXDOT is sending out the warning, because more deer are out between October through late December here in the basin.     

They're asking you to drive carefully through posted areas, and never swerve to avoid hitting a deer.
