A murder investigation continues after Odessa Police found the body of a man who was shot in the head.

Police tell NewsWest 9 they responded on a 9-1-1 call to the 900 block of West 31st Street Friday night.

When they showed up, officers found a body in a Red Dodge Ram pickup parked in the east alley.

Inside the truck, police found the man dead after being shot in the head.

The victim's identity has not been released until family members are notified.

An autospy on the body will be performed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.

Neighbors add they have seen problems in the area before, but not to this extent.

"We've had a lot of people running the stop signs and running into this lady's house and stuff, and people chasing each other around the street.  Nothing like that I know of since I've been here," Susan Fuentes, a neighbor in the area said.

Criminal investigators along with the Metro Homicide Unit were on the scene.

Police say they are continuing to investigate this as a murder.
