Plane misses runway at Midland Airpark

A small plane trying to land at the Midland Airpark missed the runway, and almost landed on the Loop.

A single engine cessna ended up on the frontage road near "A" Street and Loop 250 in Midland.
The pilot and one passenger, and a couple from Odessa were sent to Medical Center Hospital.

Sixty four year old Cliff Rowe and his fifty-seven year old wife Kathy Rowe are in stable condition at the hospital.

The pair flew in from Riodoso, New Mexico Saturday morning, around eleven when it came time to put the plane on the runway.

The landing didn't go as planned.

Police, TXDOT, Firefighters, and DPS all showed up.

The Loop remained open, as police and TXDOT officials directed traffic.

Investigators from the Flight Standard District Office haven't determined the cause of the mishap, but we'll update you as soon as we get more information.
