30 minutes, thats all it took for a Lea County Jury to convict a man accused of killing a Hobbs woman.

Clinton Skippings was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the March seventh death of 28 year old Christi Rogers.

Skippings lawyers never disputed their client killed Rogers, but were asking jurors to decide whether it was an accident after an argument between the two led to Rogers taking a fatal blow to the head.

Skippings is facing six years in prison.

He'll be sentenced next month.
