Matt Magee is taking out his little nephew for some trick or treating, and sex offenders in the area is not something he wants to think about.
"It sucks they're out there, I don't want them to be around, I guess I can be cautious about them," Matt Magee, a concerned relative said.
But it's a reality people are concerned about and why Matt and others with small children will be keeping an especially close eye on their ghouls and goblins this Halloween like Josefina Galindo who is taking her grand-daughter out.
"I just worry about where they're going to be, who they're going to be," Josefina Galindo, a concerned grandparent said.
So they'll be taking their buckets and bags and heading out to familiar sites.
"...like around country club and that area," Magee said.
Enjoying some family time, fun and festivities while keeping a close watch on their little ones.
"You have to watch them more careful that's the main thing, make sure you know where they're at, even in your backyard make sure you know you're watching them, and keep checking them make sure they're not alone at all times," Galindo said.
"I'm just going to keep my eye on him the whole time, and not let him off," Magee said.
Here's how to track down a registered sex offender in your area, you can check out the Texas DPS web site and find details on their name, address and description.
