Families members in New Mexico are dealing with the loss of their 5-year-old boy after he was ejected during a rollover Saturday afternoon.
New Mexico State Police say it happened just west of hobbs on U.S. 62 near mile marker 75.
They say the 15-year-old driver was traveling westbound in a 2005 Nissan when he drifted into the center median and lost control.
The pickup ended up rolling two times over the median.
The accident ejected 5-year-old Benjamin Reynolds from the vehicle, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The boy was not wearing his seatbelt.
Others in the pickup were sent to the hosptial.
Police add alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
