A stand-off in Odessa is over.
That's the word from Odessa Police after they spent all Friday morning on the scene at the Quality Inn at Highway 80 and JBS Parkway.
Police tell us a suspect wanted for bank robberies in Corpus Christi and Charlotte, North Carolina was held up in the hotel prompting officials to evacuate guests from the building.
Police, DPS, U.S. Marshals, and the SWAT team formed a perimeter around the hotel, because the suspect was believed to be armed and dangerous.
A female companion of the suspect came out of the room, then moments later, the suspect turned himself in, and he is now in custody.
Newswest 9 was the only station to be on the scene of the situation on Friday morning.
