West Texas Fugitive arrested in San Antonio

A West Texas fugitive on the run for more than a decade gets busted in San Antonio.

He changed his name and used fake papers to get a new license and social security number, but the law finally caught up with Jesus Bujanda-Saenz.

Saenz changed his name to Jose Torres, and has been on the run for 12 years.

Investigators say he violated his probation for stealing a car in 1995.

Three months later, he was arrested for sexual assault.

He bonded out of jail, and that's when he went on the run.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, sponosroed by the the U.S. Marshal's took on the cold case.

Using his mug shot, they matched his face to his new driver's license.

The task force found him in San Antonio working at a hotel chain.

Once caught, investigators say he confessed to his true identity.

The Midland County Sheriff's Office is now working to extradite him back to our area.
