Penwell- Don't pop in a pot pie without checking the brand first. All varieties of Banquet pot pies made by ConAgra also sold under these brands, Great Value, Hill Country Fare, and Albertson's brands, are being recalled.

The recall took one local man by surprise when he saw it on the news last night.

"I ate one last night, and I saw it on the ten'o'clock news, the recall and the next thing, I am going, is this one of those?" said Pete Shugar.

Officials say there have been 165 cases in 31 states, and four cases in Texas. Dr. Richard Bartlett of the Permian Prompt Care says if a person has a compromised immune system it can be deadly and for healthy people it can last for days.

"Salmonella is a bacterial infection that can cause symptoms like aches, chills and bloody diarrhea," said Dr. Bartlett, "If you have those symptoms you do need to see a doctor."
