Thieves are going to extremes to steal gasoline in Pasco County, Florida.
At least two families have been targeted by thieves who use a power drill to tap into vehicles' gas tanks.
Mike Maffeo, Jr. says he was shocked when he discovered the hole in his tank.
The tank can't be patched, and replacing it will cost roughly $500.
Pasco County deputies say that gasoline theft is common when fuel prices are high, but thieves usually use siphons to empty tanks or simply drive away from filling stations without paying.
