A man accused of knocking off a loan company Wednesday afternoon, with a knife. Police caught twenty-two year old Raul Sanchez Jr. in the backyard of a home in the 3100 block of North Hancock, after police say he fled West Texas Finance, on foot with cash and jewelry.

"The dogs were barking like crazy," said Judy Brassfield who lives next door to the home where police caught Sanchez, "I  could tell something really wasn't right."

Police say Sanchez walked in to the loan office, like any other customer. Clerks told police he had visited the store several times during the day, but pulled a large knife on his last visit.

"He was able to make off with an undetermined amount of cash, and then he left the store headed east bound on 31st," said Cpl. Sherrie Carruth, Odessa Police Department.

"I heard them telling him to get on the ground," said Brassfield, "they were looking in my yard, and the lady's next door and over there."

Sanchez is charged with aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault, both felonies of the first degree.
