A scary night for a Hobbs mother and her two kids last night when gunmen open fire on her car.

It happened last night near the intersection of Elm and East Dunham.

According to police, the woman was driving with her two small children when a pick-up stopped in front of her.

That's when she says three people wearing masks in the bed of the truck stood up and started shooting.

The woman was able to get away, but her car had several holes in it from a shotgun and handgun.

No one was hurt.

Police say witnesses confirm that three people wearing masks ran from the scene.

No arrests have been made.

Investigators say they are looking at several scenarios and motives, and say the target of the shooting may have been someone else known to drive the car.
