15 year old behind bars after police chase

A fifteen year old is behind bars after police he took them on a high speed chase in a stolen truck.

Officers say it started Wednesday afternoon when a patrol officer saw the truck of Muskingum, called for back-up, and started following.

The teen took off eventually crashing into a house in the 600 block of East 31st Street.

That's when the boy got out and started running.

He was soon arrested.

He's been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and evading arrest.

     According to police, a black Ford F-150, being operated by Marcelo Olivas, 17, was traveling on private property when a 20-month-old boy ran out in front of the F-150 and was struck by it.
