Clear Channel Communications Shareholders have approved the sale of the radio giant.

And that means the five area radio stations are getting a new owner.

Clear Channel has agreed to be sold for a whopping 19 point 5 billion dollars.

The company currently owns five radio stations here in the basin, KISS FM,
A.M. 550, Mix 106.7, K-F-Z-X, and Wild 96.1.

The owner of a Dallas group bought the media giant.

The buyout was first announced last November, but it took some time to get some of the larger shareholders to agree to the buyout.
