Prosecutors in Las Vegas have upped the ante in O.J. Simpson's legal case.
The District Attorney filed multiple charges including kidnapping, armed robbery, conspiracy and assault, against Simpson and his alleged accomplices late Tuesday evening.
The new charges mean that Simpson could face significantly more jail time if convicted.
They also decreased the likelihood that he'll be granted bail.
Simpson is accused of storming a Las Vegas motel room with two armed men, and taking sports memorabilia that at one time belonged to him from a group of collectors and brokers.
One of those men later suffered a major heart attack, and remains in critical condition.
His family blames the Simpson incident.
Simpson's first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
