It's unanimous.
A new jail bond will be on the ballot in Howard County this November.
Commissioners approved the 11-point-57 million dollar bond for a 96 bed jail, that cost includes buying the land and equipment.
It will be the voters who decide whether or not the jail will actually be built.
Last year, Howard County residents voted down a ten million dollar bond.
Shortly after that, the state closed the jail when it failed a critical smoke and ventilation test which forced the county to spend around a million dollars to house prisoners in other counties, and make repairs.
