RIO RANCHO, N.M. (AP) - President Bush's homeland security adviser, Fran Townsend, is attending the funeral of a Rio Rancho police officer.

And White House spokesman Tony Snow says the head of the Secret Service, Mark Sullivan, also is attending Germaine Casey's funeral on behalf of the president.

Townsend is bringing personal letters to Casey's wife and two children.

Casey was driving his patrol motorcycle in Bush's motorcade during the president's visit to Albuquerque on Monday.

Casey was killed when he crashed at Albuquerque's International Airport.
