Two men behind bars in Odessa accused of selling black tar heroin

Two men are behind bars in Ector County, accused of dealing black tar heroin.

The bust happened this morning at the High Plains Apartment Complex on the 37-hundred block of Andrews Highway.

Sheriff's investigators arrested 38 year-old Mike Renteria Anderson and 40 year-old Carlos Cruz Ezquivel after conducting what they are calling a knock and talk in the area.

Deputies say they found five thousand dollars worth of black tar heroin and a small amount of cocaine.

Both are in the Ector Detention Center awaiting federal drug charges.

     According to police, a black Ford F-150, being operated by Marcelo Olivas, 17, was traveling on private property when a 20-month-old boy ran out in front of the F-150 and was struck by it.
