Andrews teen will not be deported, other charges pending

An Andrews teen facing deportation won't be sent back to Mexico after all.

On Monday afternoon, an immigration judge ruled that Roger Bueno, who has lived in Andrews since he was three years old will not be deported, but his legal trouble may be just beginning.

As NewsWest Nine first told you, Bueno was picked up by immigration officials, back in March, the day after his prom.

The 18-year old was wanted by Odessa Police for indecency with a child.

Details involved in that allegation haven't been released, but we have found out he is accused of improperly touching a 12 year old boy.

Police say Bueno and the victim know each other.

Bueno is also wanted in Andrews.

Police Chief Bud Jones tells NewsWest Nine there are charges pending against Bueno, but would not say what they are, because the crime he allegedly commited was done when he was still a minor.

Odessa Police tell us they expect Bueno will be sent back to the Basin to face those charges, but no word yet on when that will happen.

We will continue to follow this story and bring you any further developments, as soon as we get them.
