ODESSA- The Basin is booming and so is it's University. UTPB will welcome the largest freshman class, in it's history, Monday.

"We have all kinds of activities going on and I want to check it out and meet new people, that's why I am here," said Freshman, Ariana Munoz.

The campus has doubled its enrollment in the last five years. UTPB will get a $56 million dollar Science Complex, a new $10 million dollar Student Life Center to keep up with the growth.

"It means that the town's growing and the schools growing and that's always a good thing and it will bring a lot to the community," said Junior Stephen Franco.

"All of these facilities will both fuel growth and they're the result of growth," said President Dr. David Watts, "The science complex will be another huge landmark for the University.

President Watts says the new Center will be a magnet for scholars around the globe and it's a good time for students at UTPB.
