Hobbs City Manager job offered to former Gallup, New Mexico employee

The job of Hobbs City Manager has been offered to a former Gallup, New Mexico employee.

The Hobbs City Commission voted unanimously Thursday to offer the job to Eric Honeyfield.

He had been City Manager in Gallup.

The city and Honeyfield will now negotiate a contract, then Commissioners will vote on it.

Honeyfield would succeed Dan Dible, who plans to retire next April.

Dible has worked for the city of Hobbs for four years.
