MIDLAND COUNTY- They're sorting more than just package at DHL in Midland County after a local distributor walked off site and laid off all of it's employees, leaving no one to handle the regular DHL packages. Midessa Express, like many companies couldn't hang on to employees and now 10-15 drivers are out of jobs.

"It boils down to who is going to pay better," said Kristopher Morrow, a former driver, "There are too many jobs, and not enough people."

Working under the DHL umbrella, employees tell NewsWest Nine, Midessa Express lost many workers to the oil field.

"That's the hardest part of keeping people there and there were so many other jobs available," said Morrow.

DHL reps say the new contractor JMK Services should be running some routes by tomorrow. They are asking people who urgently need packages to pick them up.
