Midland City Councilman Scott Dufford is making another bid for the City Council, but this time it's for a different seat.

Dufford moved out of District three, and can't run for that position again.

But with Councilman Wes Perry running for Mayor and planning to vacate the At Large seat, Dufford announced his plans to run for that position.

Dufford says he still has some work to do in Midland.

"I just want to make the city of midland a better place, really selfishly, for my children and grandchildren, I want them once they go off to college and come back or once they graduate from high school, I want them to stay here and work and live in the City of Midland , because I think it's a great place, and I think I can contribute to making Midland a better place for them as well and for all citizens," Dufford said.

There will be at least two brand new members on the City Council after the November elections, one due to term limits, the other because of Dufford being ineligible for the district three seat.
