New information released after late night crash in Gardendale

New information on a deadly late night crash in Gardendale.

State troopers have released the names of the two young men that died.

It happened at the intersection of Goldenrod and Pecan, just after nine.

State troopers say a car ran a the stop sign at Pecan and slammed into a truck.

The driver of the car, 21 year old Brandon West of Gardendale, and his passenger 21 year old Hunter Lloyd of Midland were both killed in the crash.

Officers say they were not wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the truck, 40-year-old Charles Phillips, and his two children were not seriously hurt.

However his wife, Lacretia, had to go to the hospital.

She has been upgraded from critical to stable condition.
