Some tense moments for the passengers and crew of a Southwest Airlines flight after having to make an emergency landing at Midland International Airport.

Passengers were taken off the plane.

A Southwest Customer Service supervisor says the flight was on its way from Dallas to El Paso.

"We had a flight going from Dallas to El Paso, that had an indicator light, and so they had to stop here to check it out," says Kerri Smith, with Southwest Airlines Customer Service.

That supervisor says Southwest does not know the exact reason the indicator light went on.

The passengers were put on a different Southwest Airlines plane so they could make their way to El Paso.
