The Ector County School District paying up to part ways with two of their highest ranking school administrators.

On Thursday, school board members decided to buyout the contracts of Superintendent Wendell Sollis, and Deputy Superintendent, Joe Gallegos.

Gallegos will get a little more than 64 thousand dollars, that's for six months salary.

The board also agreed to shell out 175 thousand to buyout Wendell Sollis's contract, but member Randy Rrives voted against the idea.

"I couldn't support paying 200 plus thousand dollars to get rid of a man I thought was doing a good job," Rives said.

Rives felt the two administrators offered a lot to the district, but Board President Carol Gregg disagrees saying the district needed to make these changes in order to moved ahead.
