More shake-ups could be in the future for the Ector County School District.
A district spokesperson says Deputy Assistant Superintendent Joe Gallegos has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Gallegos was expected to return to work on Tuesday.
A special School Board meeting will be this Thursday morning to talk about Gallegos's future with the district.
You may remember Doctor Gallegos threatened a lawsuit, if the school board didn't buy out his contract.
He claims some board members defamed him, and that's not the only topic trustees will tackle.
On the agenda is a discussion regarding Rhenda Berryhill's vacant seat.
Berryhill was forced to leave her spot, when she moved out of her distict.
The district will decide whether to fill the spot right away, or wait until the next election.
Members will also discuss a contract buyout for outgoing Superintendent Wendell Sollis.
The special board meeting is this Thursday morning.
It is open to the public.
Some of the personnel matters will be discussed behind closed doors.
Keep it tuned to NewsWest Nine to find out what the board decided.
