EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Two teenagers from Mexico have been arrested on charges that they tried to smuggle 50 pounds of cocaine into El Paso from Mexico.

The 17-year-old boy and girl from Ciudad Juarez were arrested yesterday after Customs agents at an international bridge found the drugs inside the car that he was driving.

Because the suspects are under 18, they were turned over to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office- to face the criminal charges.
