A man is in serious condition after slamming his car into the back of a tractor trailer on Interstate 20.

It all started with a rollover wreck around five o-clock Friday afternoon.

According to troopers, the driver of a white SUV lost control and rolled it into the median.

The three people inside were not hurt.

But the wreck bogged down traffic, while crews worked to clear the scene.

The second wreck happened when a man and woman in two separate vehicles were driving west on I-20, a husband following his wife.

Troopers tell us the woman got distracted and took her eyes off the road.

When she looked up, she saw the big rig stopped on the interstate and swerved to miss it.

Her husband, following close behind, ran right into the back of it, trapping him in the car.

The unidentified man was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, and is in serious condition.

No one else was hurt.
