Investigator from OSHA looking into the death of an oilfield worker over the weekend

An investigator from OSHA is looking into the death of an oil field worker in Upton County.

The accident happened around 7 p-m Saturday.

Officials say the man was working on an oil rig belonging to adobe drilling near the Midland-Upton County line.

Deputies from the Upton and Midland Country Sheriff's Offices responded to the accident.

OSHA was notified the night of the accident.

The identity of the man killed has not been released.
