HOUSTON (AP) - An 18-year-old man died today after jumping off a cruise ship into the Gulf of Mexico.
Officials with Carnival Cruise Lines said the unidentified man jumped from the Ecstasy about 7:35 this morning, said cruise line spokesman Vance Gulliksen. A search started and the U-S Coast Guard was notified, he said.
The man was found about a half-hour later and brought back on board the 70,000-ton vessel, where he was pronounced dead, Gulliksen said.
